Sant’ Elia Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a superior category oil obtained directly from olives harvested by hand which are grown on the Sant ‘Elia estate in Filottrano, Italy. The olives are pressed within 24 hours of being harvested, in a batch process by mechanical means only; no heat or chemical extraction methods are used. Olive oil has many different flavours depending on the climate, the variety of olives and the soil. Sant’ Elia Extra Virgin Olive Oil is smooth, with a hint of pepper and the aroma of freshly mown grass.
Our 2025 harvest oil is of excellent quality, having a high polyphenol content of 501mg/kg (to be considered as high an Olive Oil must have a polyphenol content of above 250mg/kg). In addition the acidity of the Olive Oil must be below 0.8, to be classified as Extra Virgin. Our Sant’ Elia Olive Oil has an acidity of 0.2 which is well within the specification.
This 2025 harvest has now been awarded a Platinum Medal for Quality in the 2026 London International Olive Oil Competitions, the highest level award.
